Give your students an unforgettable hands-on learning experience at Real Life Farm in Canton, Michigan. Our Spring and Fall Farm Field Trips bring children face-to-face with farm animals, agriculture, and outdoor discovery in a safe, engaging environment that students love and teachers trust.
For more than 70 years, families and schools throughout the Canton area have visited Real Life Farm to experience authentic farm life. Our field trips combine education, exploration, and plenty of fun, giving students the chance to learn by doing.
Whether your group includes preschoolers, elementary students, or homeschool families, our field trips provide a memorable day filled with discovery, laughter, and real farm experiences.
What children experience on the farm:
During your visit, your group will rotate through a variety of interactive farm activities designed to give students a true taste of life on the farm.
Activities typically include:

Horseback riding (for children, led by adults)

Group hayride around the farm

Educational farm talk with Farmer Aaron

Bottle-feeding baby animals

Hand-feeding friendly farm animals

Milking a cow

Visiting the baby animal station for holding and snuggling

Time for open play on our large play structure
Students don’t just watch—they participate. These hands-on activities help children build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for animals and agriculture.

Field Trip Schedule:
Our field trips are designed to give groups a full farm experience while still fitting comfortably within a school day

Group Size:
We can accommodate groups up to 240 guests (including adults) in our normal rotation, but we also host larger groups in a more open format.
Some groups may rotate activities with another visiting group.
